BIG LEAGUE

The Pinecrest Little League Big League team of 16+17 year olds play a full season beginning in the middle of May.

Games are on a full size diamond with 7 innings and every player is guaranteed "plate time" as the entire team comes to bat in order.

Individual players are given opportunities to shine within specific positions.

The Big League team plays against teams from other Eastern Ontario Little Leagues.

There are two games and one practice each week. Games are played Mondays through Thursdays. The schedule allows all teams to meet an equal number of times. Games start at 6.00pm and frequently later on fields with lights.

Every player requires a glove and a helmet. Metal cleats may be worn.

All players receive a team uniform (refundable deposit required) while the baseball cap, warm up t-shirt and socks are the player's to keep.

All Big League games are competitive. Pitch counts and scores are kept. Playoffs are in August to determine the Champion team.

Tryouts are held in June for players interested in playing on the Crusaders and representling District 2 at the Big League Provincial Tournament held in mid July.
